In the CD shop where i'm working, it's a customer service you get to listen to as many CD's as you want before buying, and if you don't like them, it's No problemo.
If that's that not the current service policy in the US, then i think it's time to change it.
It's a golden opportunity for the customer to listen and check out Artists whom playtimes and Airplay on radios - and Tv's is very limited. It's a good deal for the band and your establishment. The CD selling busniness is very dull at the moment ( the internet market is killing us pretty much ) and therefor, service and expertize is our major priority at the monent and of course, discounts on newly recovered copyright-artists.

Hey Klemme, the one GREAT CD shop in DET went out of business, it was really a great shop with shops everywhere and deeep cuts...I think they got hit by filesharing, but who knows. They left as the internet hit. I got some Rush tix from them, slept out...but that's business...
What a great selection of used cds, the best. They got hundreds of dollars in busines from me in used cds.
I noticed a drop off when the internet really started to hit, I think iwth the widespread adption of broadband tech, shops like them either should offer services online or leave.
That's BAD, but think of the benefits to YOU and ME...
HUGE...JUST HUGE. It's bad for some, but really profitable for a lot of people.
Link this is a link to an internet station I found thru iTunes that plays some stuff I'd never hear of and is probably not profitable but what was that small record shop.
Property really is a big discussion that needs to happen...
